We caught up with TV presenter Nathan Connor (Milkshake! - Channel 5) and asked him all about how to get into TV presenting.
About Nathan Connor
Nathan started his entertainment journey aged 14 when he and a few friends made a boyband and performed at every school talent show they could. It was during this time that Nathan knew he wanted a career in the entertainment industry. After completing a National Diploma in Performing Arts at college, he enrolled onto a Foundation Degree, studying Contemporary Theatre at Bournemouth and Poole College. Although, this didn’t last long as he decided to leave after only 3 months to pursue a job in entertainment. One year later, he auditioned to be a Redcoat at Butlins. This is where his journey to the current day began. During his six years at Butlins, Nathan learnt how to DJ, present to a live audience, dance and develop his skills. It gave him a platform to gain confidence and get plenty of stage experience in front of thousands of people every day. In 2015, Nathan decided to pursue a career in Children’s TV. He made a showreel and went for a screen test audition for CBeebies. Although he was unsuccessful, he wouldn’t give up the determination to achieve this job. He stayed at Butlins before leaving in January 2017. A month after leaving Butlins, Nathan sent a showreel to Milkshake! Channel 5. He was invited for a screen test audition and this time he was successful. Since then, he has been lucky to get so many opportunities in entertainments and TV. Alongside presenting for Milkshake!, Nathan tours his own show at Butlins, called Nathan’s Cosmic Quest and is part of Milkshake! Live, Milkshake Monkeys Musical which tours theatres nationwide. He also regularly DJ’s parties and events, body pops and attends schools to present workshops.
